Animaga’s Artist Alley has always been a highlight of our convention, and 2025 will be no exception! Whether you’re a passionate hobbyist or a seasoned professional, the Artist Alley is the perfect platform to showcase your talent, connect with anime lovers, and sell your unique creations to a dedicated audience of fans.
What’s New in 2025?
We’re refining our Artist Alley experience to celebrate the creativity and artistry of the anime community. Applications will open in early 2025—stay tuned for updates and announcements on our social media channels and website!
Selection Pathway:
To ensure an engaging and diverse lineup, applications will be carefully reviewed based on the following criteria:
- Connection to Anime, Manga, or Gaming Themes: Preference will be given to works inspired by these popular genres.
- Diversity of Styles and Techniques: We love showcasing a wide variety of art forms and techniques!
- Quality and Creativity: Submissions should demonstrate artistic skill, originality, and dedication.
- Handmade Creations: Handmade and crafted items will be prioritized.
- No AI-Generated Art: To celebrate genuine artistic talent, only hand-drawn or traditionally designed work will be accepted.

Thank you to everyone who submitted an application to join the Artist Alley at Animaga 2025. We’ve received an incredible variety of work, and we’re really looking forward to seeing what this year’s artists will bring to the table.

Artist Alley Activity – Animaga 2025
In the spirit of creativity, generosity, and connection, Animaga 2025 is proud to present a brand-new community initiative in our Artist Alley — the Freebie Swap Station. Designed as a gathering point for fans and creators alike, this exchange table is your opportunity to share what you love and discover something new, all while connecting with fellow attendees in a fun and meaningful way.
Imagine wandering through the vibrant Artist Alley, arms filled with stickers, postcards, tiny zines, or lovingly illustrated character buttons — and then spotting a table where the treasures of others are waiting just for you. That’s the heart of the Freebie Swap Station: a space where everyone gives a little, and everyone gets a little in return.
How it Works
Participation is simple, honest, and completely community-driven. If you have something to share — perhaps a handful of fan-made stickers, a few prints, a personal mini-comic, or a badge you’ve designed — just bring them along and place them on the table. In return, you’re invited to take one item of your choice per visit. The only requirement? You must contribute something of your own to join in.
It’s a beautiful cycle of give-and-take, designed to spark joy, surprise, and maybe even a new friendship or two.
What You Can Bring
This station is open to all fan-made or self-produced creations. Whether it’s a lovingly drawn sketch, a homemade button badge, or a quirky mini-zine, we welcome your work as long as it is:
Original or fan-made (self-produced by you or your friends)
Suitable for all ages (this is a family-friendly event)
Compact and easy to share (flat or small items are ideal)
Please keep in mind that this is a free exchange — not a marketplace — so your items should be given in the spirit of sharing, not selling.
What’s Not Accepted
To maintain the authenticity and community spirit of the station, we ask that participants refrain from bringing:
Mass-produced, commercial, or factory-made items
Bootleg, unlicensed, or copyrighted material without permission
Content that is offensive, inappropriate, discriminatory, or not safe for children
Any items that fall into these categories may be removed by staff at their discretion.
Important Notes
This is more than just a table — it’s a celebration of creativity and kindness. Please treat it with respect, just as you would a fellow artist or fan. Our staff will regularly check the station to ensure that everything remains fair, appropriate, and welcoming for all.
At the end of each day, any leftover items may be cleared or recycled if not collected. So if you see something you like, don’t hesitate to take part — and don’t forget to contribute something of your own in return.
