Applications are officially open for the Animaga 2025 Sunday Cosplay Competition, and if you’ve ever dreamed of strutting your work under the bright lights in front of a roaring crowd—this is your moment.

From awe-inspiring armour to elegant sakura-covered dresses, from massive props to perfectly in-character performances, our cosplay competition is where dedication and imagination collide. Whether you’ve been crafting for months or pulling together a last-minute masterpiece, we want to see it.

You’ll be judged by a panel of seasoned experts who understand the hours of cutting, sewing, painting and panic gluing it takes to bring your favourite characters to life. But more than anything, it’s your chance to celebrate your creativity, share your love for cosplay, and maybe even walk away with a prize or two.

This year, we’re making the competition bigger, brighter, and even more exciting. Thousands of eyes, cameras, and cheer-filled hearts will be waiting at MCEC this August. Are you ready?
