Exhibitor Questions

Where can I find information about becoming an exhibitor?
Visit this page here and you’ll find a link to our Traders Pack and the application form

What does it mean that I’m on the waiting list?
Animaga has a limited amount of booths for artists and traders. Sometimes it fills up really quick so we have a waiting list just in case a booth opens up. You’ll be contacted by our trader coordinator if a booth opens up.

What if I applied for a booth and haven’t heard back?
Technology is a funny thing, it chooses when it wants to work. We usually will call if we haven’t heard back from you and if you have received no communication from us, email us at traders@animaga.com.au or message us on Facebook.

What do I need to know before the event?
Our Traders Coordinator will send out an email with the details of bump-in and the final floor plan a few weeks before the event. In addition, please familiarise yourself with our Code of Conduct, Weapons’ policy, and Guest policies as you’re expected to follow them.

When is bump-in?
Bump in is from 1pm to 8pm on Friday, 10th August and 7:00am to 10am on Saturday, 11th August.
As an exhibitor, you are expected to be set-up before doors open at 10am on the Saturday.

Where do I collect my trader’s pass?
There will be an Animaga staff member handing out passes during bump-in at the main entrance (East doors). Make sure you have a copy of your booth confirmation with you when you come to collect your pass.

Cosplay

Please also refer to our Costume, Weapons and Props Policy.

Are there any cosplay restrictions?

General rules such as no exposure of genitalia, buttocks or breasts apply. We would like to ask all cosplayers to keep in mind that young children attend our event, therefore please be mindful of your sexy costumes.

Can I bring prop weapons?

Yes! However the prop cannot be made of metal of any kind; firearms, explosives and items that can pose a threat to other entrees are prohibited (please refer to our weapons policy for more information).

Any large props will have to be checked by our door staff on the day. While large props can be brought to the convention and used during the cosplay competitions, you may be asked to keep the prop in the cloakroom during the other times of the convention.
