Animaga Melbourne is officially returning to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) on August 29-30, 2026!
Our inbox has been flooding with one question lately: “When is Animaga coming back to Melbourne?” We have heard your excitement, and we are absolutely thrilled to finally share the news with you.
It’s Official: Mark Your Calendars! We are proud to confirm that Animaga Melbourne will officially return to our home ground at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) on August 29th and 30th, 2026!
A Massive Weekend Awaits We are bringing the full Animaga experience back to the venue you know and love. We are already working behind the scenes to curate a massive weekend filled with:
Star-Studded Guests: An incredible lineup of voice actors, cosplayers, and creators.
Community Events: All your favourite interactive activities, competitions, and panels are returning to the MCEC stage.
Whether you are a seasoned cosplayer, a hardcore gamer, or just looking for a fun weekend out, this is the event you won’t want to miss.

🎨 Exhibitors & Artist Alley: Are you an artist, crafter, or vendor? Get ready to showcase your work to thousands of fans! Applications are scheduled to launch in mid-March. Keep your portfolio ready!
👕 Staff & Volunteers: Do you want to gain event experience and look behind the curtain? Applications to join our dedicated team will open in April.
