Hosted at the Animaga, this zone focuses on everything from anime-inspired dolls to detailed pop culture collectibles. It serves as a social hub for seasoned owners to connect, share styling tips, and appreciate the craftsmanship that makes each BJD unique.
Community Display & Social Meetups
Collectors are encouraged to bring their dolls to participate in the community display and social meetups. To help you document your doll’s unique personality, our themed photo booths are returning with a brand-new aesthetic for the Melbourne event. These custom-designed backdrops provide the perfect setting for high-quality photography, regardless of whether your doll is dressed in traditional, modern, or fantasy attire.

Whether you excel at intricate styling or have a keen eye for photography, this is your moment to shine. We invite you to enter our BJD Photo Competition and share your artistic vision with fellow convention attendees!

How to Participate
Entering is simple and happens right on the convention floor:
Bring Your Doll: Head over to the BJD Area on Saturday.
Take Your Shot: Snap your photo in the designated BJD display zone using our on-site Fujifilm Instax Mini camera (or backup camera options available at the desk).
Submit On-Site: Hand in your instant photo entry directly at the BJD Area desk on Saturday before the end of event hours.
Schedule & Key Times
Submission Window: Saturday (Opening – End of Event Hours)
Community Voting: Sunday until 3:00 PM
Winner Announcement & Prize Presentation: Sunday at 3:30 PM
