While the name is fresh, the spirit of the competition remains exactly the same. This is your ultimate platform to step up to the microphone, let your voice take over the main stage at the MCEC this August 29 and 30, and compete for the chance to be crowned our official Melbourne champion.

The Uta Taikai is one of the most high-energy, supportive events of the entire weekend. It celebrates the incredible musical talent right here in our community, bringing the unforgettable sounds of anime tracks, J-pop anthems, and gaming themes to life with a full live audience.
