Rhypla Builds x Animaga Gunpla & Plamo Taikai Returns for Melbourne 2026!

Got a freshly built kit sitting on your desk that deserves to be shown off to fellow hobbyists? It is time to pack up your favorite plastic models! We are thrilled to announce that the Rhypla Builds (Rhyan San Pedro) x Animaga Gunpla & Plamo Taikai (プラモとG大会) is officially returning for Animaga Melbourne 2026.

Whether you just finished assembling your very first straight snap-fit kit, added custom panel lines and weathering, or spent months airbrushing, scribing, and modifying a complex Master Grade project, we want to see your work right on the convention floor at the MCEC!

Competition Categories for Every Builder

This competition is designed to celebrate builders of all skill levels and ages. Bring your entries and compete across our dedicated categories:

• Under 18 Category: Dedicated to our passionate young builders and rising talent in the hobby.

• Unpainted Category: Perfect for clean snap-fits, custom decaling, panel lining, and out-of-the-box craftsmanship.

• Painted Category: Highlighting custom color schemes, airbrushed finishes, hand-painted details, and weathering effects.

• Master Category: For our advanced modelers showcasing intensive modifications, custom pla-plate work, kitbashes, and diorama presentations.

Submission Deadline & How to Enter

To have your kit evaluated by the judges and displayed for attendees throughout the weekend, please take note of the drop-off time:

• ⏰ Submission Cut-off: All physical kit entries must be brought directly to the Plamo Area before Saturday at 12:00 PM (Noon).
