We are heading back to the MCEC this August 29 and 30 for an absolutely massive weekend celebrating the very best of anime, manga, and gaming culture. Buying your passes early during the pre-sale is the single best way to guarantee your spot for the entire weekend before everything sells out!

Choosing Your Pass: Ticket Types & Info

Whether you are planning a casual day out, bringing the whole family, or looking for the ultimate elite experience, we have a ticket option tailored for you.

1. General Admission

Your standard ticket to the show! This includes full access to all public areas, main attractions, community zones, and standard stage programming across Animaga. You can choose a single-day pass or grab a weekend pass to experience all two days of non-stop action.

2. Kids Tickets

Animaga is a family-friendly celebration, and we love welcoming the next generation of fans!

• Children under 7 years: Free entry!

• Ages 7–12: A Child Ticket is required.

• Please note: All children under 12 must be accompanied at all times by a paying adult. Other identification or concession documents (such as NDIS plans, Health Care Cards, student concession cards, or Pension Cards) do not qualify for concession or child ticket rates.

3. Companion Card / Carer Entry

To support accessibility for everyone in our community, Animaga proudly offers free entry for carers accompanying a ticket holder with a valid National Companion Card.

• How to book: When purchasing online, please select only one adult ticket for yourself. Your accompanying carer will receive their free entry pass on-site upon presentation of a valid, physical Companion Card at the event registration desk. Please do not select child passes for Companion Card holders.

• Doors Open: 10:00 AM (Queues open from 8:00 AM)

• Early Entry Info: Depending on the morning queue situation, we may open the doors and allow entry as early as 9:30 AM. If you are aiming for specific timed activities or hope to secure general guest signing tokens on the day, we highly recommend arriving before 9:30 AM! VIP Pass holders will continue to receive priority entry access first.

• Getting There: Getting to the MCEC is a breeze! You can easily reach the venue via public transport by taking the tram (Routes 96, 109, and 12), train (Southern Cross Station is a short walk away), or local bus lines.
