Animaga Melbourne 2026 guest signing policy
Everything You Need to Know: Animaga Melbourne 2026 Guest Signing Policy
Â
Heading to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) this August 29th and 30th to meet your favourite creators, voice actors, and performers? We know that meeting guest creators is one of the biggest highlights of the weekend for our community!
To make sure every attendee gets a memorable interaction and the queues move smoothly and fairly, the official Animaga Melbourne 2026 Guest Signing Policy is now live on our website.
Because each of our guest creators has unique preferences and contract guidelines regarding autographs, photography, gifts, and acceptable merchandise, we strongly encourage everyone to give the policy a quick read before heading down to the convention floor.

Key Signing Session Highlights
Here is a quick overview of what to expect when you head to the Guest Autograph Area:
Â
🎟️ 1. Autograph Token Distribution
To ensure line lengths remain safe and manageable inside the hall, autograph sessions utilize a token system.
First-Come, First-Served: Signing tokens will be handed out each morning at the dedicated Token Desk once doors open.
Limit Per Attendee: To give as many fans a chance as possible, tokens are limited per person per session.
Valid Ticket Required: Make sure you have your Animaga entry wristband/pass visible when collecting your token.
🖊️ 2. Approved Items & Merchandise
Guests are happy to sign a wide range of items, but strict guidelines apply across the board:
Official Merchandise Only: Please bring official licensing boards (shikishi), official artbooks, manga, posters, or licensed goods.
No Unofficial/Bootleg Items: Fan art created by other artists, bootleg products, or unauthorized prints cannot be signed.
Prop & Weapon Safety: If you are bringing a cosplay prop to be signed, it must pass weapons check inspection at the entrance first.
📸 3. Photos, Selfies, and Voice Recordings
Check the Board: Session signage will clearly state whether a guest permits quick table photos, selfies, or voice recordings.
Ask First: Always ask for permission before taking a photo or video near the guest table, and please respect the preferences of our guests and their management teams.
