Animaga 2023 Guests Signing policy

Guests will be available for autographs during the weekend in the Guest Signing Area. (Check the schedule for signing times for each guest.) Due to high demand and limited time available for each signing session, to ensure as many people as possible have an opportunity to obtain an autograph, the following policies are in place:

Obtaining an Autograph Token:

  • If you wish to obtain an Autograph for a guest, you must have a physical VIP (Lanyard) or General Admission pass (wristband) and an Autograph token for the guest.
  • On doors open, attendees can collect an Autograph token at the Guest Autograph Area upon presenting their physical VIP or General Admission pass. Physical admission passes are redeemed on entry to the venue when your e-ticket is scanned (when doors open, in queuing order). Arrive early to secure your opportunity.
  • The Guest Signing Area is the central location for distributing the limited number of Autograph Tokens. Tokens are valid only for the signing session on the day distributed (Saturday or Sunday).

General Signing Policy – Applies to all guests unless otherwise stated:

  • Each attendee can only obtain ONE Autograph Token for each guest.
  • No one may stand in line for an autograph without a token.
  • Standby lines also require a token.
  • Attendees cannot line up for an autograph session more than 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
  • Only ONE item will be signed to keep the line moving.
  • Guests will gladly sign your program guide or any officially licensed goods. Guests may sign other types of items at their discretion. Bootleg items will not be signed. Check in advance if unsure.
  • Animaga staff can inspect any item before presentation to the guest.
  • You must show your signing tokens and admission ticket to staff when queuing in the Autograph Area. DO NOT LOSE YOUR TICKET WHILE WAITING!
  • All attendees must follow the Animaga Code of Conduct. Animaga staff reserve the right to refuse autographs and/or tokens to any attendee who fails to follow the rules (or attempts to circumvent them). Anyone caught in the act is subject to the disruptive behaviour policy, and risks having their signing token revoked and/or access to the convention removed.
  • Please be concise when interacting with guests due to time constraints.
  • All autographs will be done using stationary and signing markers provided by Animaga.
Kiyono Yasuno 安野希世乃 signing Policy
  • Strictly NO photography.
  • Will sign on blank signing board (available for purchase at Animaga Guest Merch Desk).
  • Will sign officially licensed and properly credited products.

  • No personal items will be signed. E.g. Cosplay Pop, Figures, T-shirt, scraps of paper. Etc.
  • Ensure items for signing are ready when approaching the guest.
Redjuice signing Policy
  • Strictly NO photography.
  • Will sign official Redjuice art books and artworks sold at the Animaga Guest Merch Desk.
  • Will sign officially licensed and properly credited products.
  • No personal items will be signed. g. Cosplay Pop, Figures, T-shirt, scraps of paper. Etc.
  • Ensure items for signing are ready when approaching the guest.
slightlyvillainous (Cosplayer) signing Policy
  • Will sign their official merchandise available at their table, located in artist alley Table 1.
  • Autographs are received upon purchase of their merchandise.
  • Autograph tokens are not required.
Notes and Gifts for Guests

If you’re considering presenting a guest with a heartfelt note or a thoughtful gift, we kindly request your adherence to the following guidelines for both safety and practicality reasons:

 

  • When gifting, please clearly label the gift with the intended guest’s name. Additionally, include your own name and contact details either on the exterior of the gift or note.
  • While wrapping, avoid using adhesive tapes or ribbons. Opt instead for a gift bag or simply encase it in tissue paper, ensuring it remains easily accessible for inspection.
  • Consider the guest’s travel constraints. Many of our guests travel long distances to attend Animaga, so it’s essential that your gift is compact, robust, and easy to transport.
  • Please refrain from gifting Food or Alcohol
  • Gifts containing intentional traces of human DNA (e.g., blood, hair, or skin) are strictly prohibited.
  • Before presenting your gift during any guest appearance, kindly consult the designated Animaga staff overseeing the event.

– Do not utilize the Q & A segment of a guest’s panel to hand over your gift; this disrupts the event and isn’t fair to fellow attendees who are there to engage with the guest.

  – Avoid gifting during autograph sessions unless you’ve received clearance from the attending staff. This ensures smooth operations and fair opportunities for everyone to interact with the guest.

  – In certain circumstances, you might be requested to hand over your gift post-session, or the staff might take the responsibility to convey it on your behalf. Be assured, we’ll ensure the guest receives your gift, which is why we emphasize labeling each present with your contact details.
