We’re excited to announce a synergic partnership with Grand Archive TCG and Good Game Greensborough for this year’s card game area at Animaga. Dive into the rich world of card games, as these esteemed partners offer an exciting array of demos, engaging activities, and pulse-pounding tournaments. Whether you’re keen on mastering a new deck, competing at the highest level, or simply mingling with fellow enthusiasts, our combined efforts promise an unforgettable experience. 

Learn to play Grand Archive! Event

 

Grand Archive is a new western anime TCG card game that was launched early 2023, with beta testing commencing as early as Q4 2021.

Learn how to play this new exciting card game all throughout both days at Animaga Expo 2023.

Players will be provided with a free demo deck that they can keep, along with promotional packs (silver) if they complete the learn to play event!

Fractured Crown, Sealed Kit Event:

 

Event commences at 1pm, Saturday.

Sign up to the event is first in best dressed when the door to Animaga convention opens.

$65 entry, players will receive a sealed fractured crown event kit that contains 8 booster packs (4x Dawn of Ashes Alter and 4x Fractured Crown) and additional support cards to build a deck and play.

Each participant will minimally receive 1 booster pack and 1 silver event pack for participating.

Players will receive more prizing in the form of booster packs, and Silver/Gold Promotional packs the more games they win.

An exclusive, Australia only, Grand Archive Card (Non-foil Empowering Harmony Promo) will also be given out to players with higher standings at the end of the event.

Starter deck Tournament (new players only)

 

Event commences at 10.30am, Sunday.

New players that completed the learn to play event will be eligible to purchase a starter deck at random for only $15 (RRP $25) and participate in this big tournament with a top prize of $500 Good Games Greensborough store credit (credit can be redeemed on the day itself as well).

Number of Swiss rounds will be decided on that day based on the turnout. There will be no top cut.

Each participant will minimally receive and 1 silver event pack for participating.

Players will receive more prizing in the form of booster packs, and Silver/Gold Promotional packs the higher their standings are at the end of the event.

An exclusive, Australia only, Grand Archive Card (Non-foil Empowering Harmony Promo) will also be given out to players ranking higher on the scoreboard along with a Foil Empowering Harmony promo being raffled out at the end of the event for each 50 participants on that day.

Dawn of Ashes, Draft Event

 

Event commences at 11am, Sunday.

Sign up to the event is first in best dressed.

$50 entry, players will receive 6x Dawn of Ashes Booster Packs to draft and build a deck.

All players will receive promotional pack(s) as a door prize.

Players will receive 1x booster pack per win, along with Silver/Gold Promotional Packs based on their standings after the last round.

Top players in the standings will also receive an exclusive, Australia only specific promo card – Empowering Harmony non-foil.

Japanese Chess “Go” Demonstration and Free Play by the Australia Go Association

 

We are pleased to announce the return of the Australian Go Association at this year’s Animaga 2023! The AGA, with us since 2019, is back with a “Go” (囲碁) demonstration – an age-old game blending tactical warfare with Zen-like strategy. Simple in its rules but intricate in its depths, this 2000-year-old game has been enjoyed competitively throughout Asia. Immerse yourself as every stone placed becomes a narrative of victory or defeat.
